Operating hours for Document Signing Stations (DSS) may vary over the holiday period. If you require the services of a JP during this time, please contact the DSS directly.
Justices of the Peace are volunteers who offer a valuable service to the community. Please respect that they may not be available to be contacted at all times.
Before calling, please check the listings below to see when they are available:
- For JPs available during business hours only, contact between 9am and 5pm.
- For JPs available after hours, contact between 5pm and 8pm.
When contacting a justice of the peace, please leave your name, contact number, and the document requiring witnessing. Please also note that some justices of the peace may not answer calls from private numbers.
You can also find a Justice of the Peace at a document signing station
Options for witnessing a statutory declaration
Justices of the Peace are not the only people who can witness a statutory declaration. There are a range of people, known as authorised witnesses, who can do so. See Statutory declarations for a list of authorised witnesses.
