Specific matters considered

Family violence and personal safety reforms

Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) representatives provided an overview of consultation feedback on the proposed family violence and personal safety reforms.

Members provided feedback on the proposed legislative reforms.

Commissioner’s Requirement 2.4.1 – Management of prisoners who are Trans, Gender Diverse or Intersex

DJCS representatives responded to recommendations provided by the JWG on Commissioner’s Requirement 2.4.1 Management of prisoners who are Trans, Gender Diverse or Intersex.

DJCS will respond further to the JWG’s feedback following consideration.

Acknowledgement of Sex and Change of Name Applications – Adult Parole Board and Post Sentence Authority

The Adult Parole Board and the Post Sentence Authority presented an overview of their respective functions as a statutory authority and their processes regarding acknowledgement of sex and change of name applications.

Members provided feedback.
