Specific matters considered
Acknowledgement of sex and change of name applications
Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) representatives provided an overview of decision-making regarding the acknowledgement of sex and change of name applications.
Members provided feedback on the process.
Victoria Police – LGBTIQ+ Portfolio
Victoria Police presented an overview of LGBTIQ+ Portfolio work and the prejudice motivated crime project. The JWG discussed current community sentiment and provided feedback on current work.
LGBTIQA+ Justice Pride Action Plan
DJCS representatives provided an update on the development of the department’s LGBTIQA+ Justice Pride Action Plan. Members provided feedback on the plan and will be engaged again before the plan is finalised.
