On 10 October 2024, the LGBTIQA+ Taskforce’s Justice Working Group (JWG) held its fourth meeting for the year and the current term.
This was an extraordinary meeting to focus on proposed changes to Victoria’s anti-vilification laws.

Department of Justice and Community Safety representatives presented an overview of proposed anti-vilification legislative reforms.
Members provided feedback on the reforms with respect to LGBTIQA+ communities.
Next meeting
The next formal meeting of the JWG is 4 December 2024.
