Consultations on Anti-Vilification Reforms
An update was provided to members on the delivery of consultations on proposed anti-vilification reforms by representatives from the Department of Justice and Community Safety, Legal Policy and Stakeholder Engagement teams.
Representatives from the Department of Justice and Community Safety noted that the current phase of consultations would remain open until 8 September 2023 and are available on the EngageVic website (External link).
Updates from the Department of Health on the Victorian Intersex Protection System
Representatives from Department of Health presented on the delivery of the Victorian Intersex Protection System project, which is designed to reduce inequality in Victoria’s health systems and services and prevent harm for people with an intersex variation and is anticipated to result in the introduction of a bill to parliament in late 2024 involving a legislated approach to preventing harm.
Outcomes framework for Pride in our future: Victoria’s LGBTIQ+ Strategy 2022-32
Representatives from the Department of Families, Fairness, and Housing provided an update to members on the development of an outcomes framework supporting the Pride in our future: Victoria’s LGBTIQ+ Strategy 2022-32.
